This year, Adore Me partnered with the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Awareness Month—because breast cancer is a cause that we've always held close to our hearts. During October, the Adore Me team fundraised money and raised awareness on the importance of getting screened.
In 2020, there was a 60% decrease in the rate of annual mammograms.
Because so many women missed their annual screenings, there's a huge projected rise in undetected cases of breast cancer. That's why now, more than ever, it's important to get screened.
Your Donations Save Lives
Aside from the federal government, the American Cancer Society is the largest funder of cancer research. Every dollar that you donate goes straight to research, life-saving treatments, and direct assistance to families who are experiencing a cancer diagnosis. Every dollar counts!
Adore Me is donating to the American Cancer Society—because the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is just the beginning of the work.

Welcome, Desiree!
Welcome, Desiree!
Our special guest from the American Cancer Society, Desiree Berenguer-Carton, is here to talk about all things Breast Cancer Awareness Month—explaining everything you need to know about prevention, detection, and awareness.
GET SCREENED!
We can’t say it enough—GET SCREENED! The American Cancer Society recommends women at the age of 45 should definitely start getting an annual mammogram. It should be just as routine and easy as going to the dentist and getting your oil changed.
Know Your Family HistoryKnow your family history
Normally, the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes protect you from getting certain cancers—but some mutations to these genes can make you more susceptible to development breast cancer.
Always talk to your doctor about your family history to figure out the best detection and prevention method for you.
How you can continue to help
Continue the conversation after Breast Cancer Awareness Month! It's never the wrong time to raise awareness on the importance of getting screened—or to donate to the cause!
The American Cancer Society also sponsors events year-round, which are amazing volunteer opportunities for those looking to get involved.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Central Park
On October 17th, 30,000 people came together to participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides of Central Park walk. At Adore Me’s tent, we got to talk to survivors, listen to their stories, and give free bra fittings!

After a month of competing to fundraise the most money, the Adore Me Corporate team showed up to "Make Strides For Every Cup Size" at the Adore Me tent in Central Park.

Everything that comes along with breast cancer treatment can impact your bra size. We gave free bra fittings to participants of the walk—because being comfortable starts with wearing the right bra.

With hoodies sporting all types of breasts—including mastectomy scars—the Adore Me team represented all our (and your) loved ones with breast cancer experiences.

Time to walk! The Adore Me Corporate and Retail teams came together to walk in Central Park to help raise awareness. It was amazing seeing how many people turned out!

Having the Adore Me tent and getting to interract with all participants of the Making Strides of Central Park walk—especially the survivors—was probably our favorite part of the entire day.

People from almost every single Adore Me team came out to the Making Strides of Central Park walk—from Designers, to Social Media Managers, to Copywriters, and to P2M Directors!

Some of the littlest Adore Me family members made it to the Making Strides of Central Park walk, too! (Of course, wearing pink and with their favorite snacks in tow.)

We finished the day by having fun with our photo props—and by showing off this super-fun Breast Cancer Awareness Month print, drawn by one of our very own Graphic Designers!
